Flowers in my Garden

A stenciled bushel basket full of juicy red apples. This has been stenciled on my kitchen wall for 8-9 years. Contemplating on a change. Might paint over it, but have some doubts. I made the stencil myself and painted it. I was quite proud of myself at the time, as I am not that great of an artist or painter!

Some random pictures of my flower garden. Still waiting for it to "fill in". Usually by Mid July it is over growing and I have to weed some out.
The Dianthus are always my favorite because most of the time they return the next year and they don't spread all over the place like most perennials. Also, the dianthus have such pretty colors like raspberry and strawberry parfait. Who can resist with names like those. It's like a Cherry on TOP;)

Have a great weekend,
(~~)

Julie

Julie I am sooo envious of your flower garden !! All I have this year is a huge pot of mixed flowers this year. Fortunately the wildflowers are making up for my puny garden LOL!

I enjoyed visiting your blog. About your wall stencil. You have a wonderful photo to remember it by. You seem so talented, who knows what you will come up with next. It sounds like you have had a lot of years to enjoy the painting it will be fun to see where you go with your talents.

Julie, i am so glad that you popped over to visit me...of course i see you on etsy for the cssteam promo thread, but i had no idea you were my friend skybluecrayons from flickr...i lost track of some of those friends when i stopped doing flickr, so i am glad you found me in blogland...as for your flowers, they are gorgeous...dianthus are one of my favorites too and mostly for the reasons you stated...also because they come in lovely shades of PINK...i do have trouble with the bases of the plants looking straggly though, do you know any tips for that?
