Luckily we happen to miss the ice storm that caused it.

Yesterday was DH's birthday and it was quite the storm here too. I think he went out and plowed our little driveway at least 4 times.

I hope everything gets back to normal for your holiday celebration.

xo CathyCathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12568676340564795335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009679221680718288.post-45225423726467665412008-12-21T04:04:00.000-08:002008-12-21T04:04:00.000-08:00Oh no--I pray your electric gets back FAST! That ...Oh no--I pray your electric gets back FAST! That sucks. We've had that happen a few times before, once for almost 4 full days, and it was horrible. I'm really sorry, but I had to chuckle at Mr. (candy) Kane--he does look a little pathetic! Keep your chin up :o)
Smiles, KarenMrs.Kwittyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01705302949128942627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009679221680718288.post-86023702545686383962008-12-20T14:56:00.000-08:002008-12-20T14:56:00.000-08:00I can truely identify! The worse part was the destruction of the poor trees!
Hope it doesn't go out on you again!
LindseyTwyla and Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04728570822318577034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009679221680718288.post-3971545326869053932008-12-20T14:45:00.000-08:002008-12-20T14:45:00.000-08:00awww, poor doggieawww, poor doggiepnkgeenihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16576991941816654219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009679221680718288.post-8992854760981585062008-12-20T12:06:00.000-08:002008-12-20T12:06:00.000-08:00I know how you feel!! Back in June of 2001 we had extremely strong winds - in excess of 70 mph - that tore down trees and power lines and houses. We were without power for 5 days. No running water, had to take buckets to an artesian well for cooking and drinking water. Took our baths in a local lake. Cooked on a camp stove and tripod over a wood fire. Spent tons of $ on store bought ice and batteries.
Went to bed early. Had to set up a porta potty in our bathroom. It was AWFUL!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
