Thrifty Up Cycle Decor

No, we are not making this pie! Just thought it would grab your attention.
Thrifty Decor Chick is where I found this project. Check her out for great decor ideas!
This is one of those cheap-o reed room diffusers. I liked the shape of the bottle so even though it is empty at the moment I wanted to keep it.You only need 3 items for this project. This glue is my all time favorite. It holds in seconds.
You can use regular craft glue or a glue gun but I prefer this glue for instant hold. The jute twine was a whopping 99 cents at my local Hob Lob.

I started at the very bottom and with this glue you only have to hold to secure for a few seconds.
It is wrapping around nicely at this point. Be sure to keep your rows even and close together. I glued the whole way around..but I am sure you may only have to glue every couple of rows.
The only downfall was the twisting of the twine.
At this point It probably took me less than 10 minutes to get this far.
There's that annoying twisty twine again.
It is getting a little harder to keep the twisty twine at bay.
I wrapped the twine all the way to the tiptop. I placed a little bit of glue to the end of the twine and then gently squeezed it with my fingers to seal the ends.
See, it looks nice and finished now!
This will add some needed texture to your decor. You can make 3 bottles like this to make a nice grouping. Wine bottles or inexpensive vases would look great too.

Hi Julie! I think us crafty types invented upcycling! I feel your pain about your printer, too funny, I am out of ink! Terrible situation! Have a great weekend! E
