Curbside trash into treasure

Hello Friends...It has been a long time.

Sometime last year Dear Hubby brought home a full-size headboard and a baby crib.
They were left curbside for trash in a subdivision he was currently working in. He is a framing carpenter...BONUS x 2!

Today is the day he chose to fit it together. Now it is stored in a spare room awaiting my paint brush.
The sides are a bit tall. We  He wanted to cut them shorter but the way they were glued and attached would have made it impossible difficult for him to get them back in the original slots.
It reminds me a bit lot of a church pew. Hopefully paint will help with that issue.

Stay Tuned for update. I plan on tackling this project directly after Christmas Day.

Happy Holidays,

Julie

I saw something similar at the COuntry Living Fair. It was so nice. This will be more comfortable than a day bed because you can reach the floor with your feet.

YEAH! HAPPY DANCE HERE! So glad to see your comment and follow it to a post! Oh Julie, the hi sides are super for this. I think it will be fine if a very fat cushion finds it's way into the middle.
Wishing you a joyous holiday season! E
