Snow Happy

Sweet Sugar Cookies...these have to be my favorite pom poms so far.

Yes, that is a fake sugar cookie around this sweet bird's neck and Blue peppermint chenille stems for legs.

Mint green and Pink glitter cottage and how cute is that mini pink tree? Ready or not Snow is going to fall soon.

Visit my shop.

Hold the phone...we are interrupting this regularly scheduled blog for some sweet baby time! A little visit yesterday with my great nephew, Caleb. It was a pleasure to cradle him in my arms until he fell asleep.

3 Peppermint Red Bluebirds are flying south for the winter.
Sweet things in life...

A little needed pumpkin time before the trip southward.

Some more poses with Mr. Pumpkin. They are going to miss him but the warmer weather sure is calling their names.

WARNING: If you are Elizabeth..you may not want to view this last photo as I know you are not fond of scary Halloween. Close your eyes now and scroll quickly ...

Dear hubby cut these last year for my daughter and her boyfriend. Didn't they do a great job?!!

Happy Halloween

Boo

There's a goblin at my window, a monster by my door.
The pumpkin at my table keeps on smiling more and more.

There's a ghost who haunts my bedroom, A witch whose face is green.

They used to be my family until they dressed for Halloween.

Halloween Along

As if you do not know Elizabeth from Creative Breathing but I am following her Halloween Garland Along.
Itchy and Scratchy throat makes for 2 sick days from work. Makes time for some needed creativity.
I found some vintage Offray Halloween craft ribbon in my stash. I ran a double gathering stitch down the center using my sewing machine. It has black owls on it and is so retro. It will be the base for the garland.
I cannot bear to think of all the water I have drank in the last few days. Fluids, fluids, fluids.
Does anyone else do this? I always mark my water bottle with my initial. I do not want cootie germs!!! I do not share drinks or eats and definitely no double dipping. That's odd, the cootie germs got to me anyway :(

Will post the finished Halloween Garland Along when completed and hopefully I will be 100 percent by then.

Donation for a good cause -Mrs Kwitty

http://misseskwitty.blogspot.com/2009/10/benefit-for-brother-paul.html

Be sure to stop by Karen's blog and read the story there. She is accepting donations of prizes or cash..anything would be so helpful.

Since the benefit is October 24 I thought this seasonal haunted house would be a suitable donation and help them raise money for her brother and his family.
I hope they raise tons of $ to help the family out.

Bewitching

This little witch is sporting green yarn sneakers and yellow yarn for hair! Holding her broom in one hand and her carved pumpkin in the other. The added embellishments really makes this card pop! Orange vintage lace has been added to the edges and 3 pumpkin charms are dangling at the bottom. Has been added to my LOLLISHOP

I really like this one...I want to keep it for myself
Hope your weekend is beautiful

Halloween Purpley Sugar Cottage

One more of my cottages this time in sugary purple. A ghostly roof, a trio of pumpkins, and a glitttery black cat are just some of the extras. I especially like the purple fence.

Look at the cute, I mean spooky ghosts on the roof top. At least they are happy:)

Have a spooktacular day!

New Projects finished

Creepy Halloween..well not so creepy. In my mind I was making a scary Halloween house, but it always turns to cuteness. I guess scary is not my style. The skull is
even smiling;) Maybe if it's added to a Halloween village with those wicked looking trees and some spider webs it will appear gloomier? Trick or Treat.

Recycled chipboard covered in glittered vintage sheet music. Eyelash yarn sandwiched between the 2 layers of chipboard. Black ribbon for hanging. I positioned the words of the song right in the middle of the dove. Looks equally beautiful on both sides:)

I really like the way the church turned out. It is also covered in vintage sheet music and glittered. The "stained glass" windows are a flowered scrapbook paper. The vintage pom pom trim is from my stash that I have been hoarding for myself..hehe. The trim is sandwiched between the 2 layers of recycled chipboard (my favorite supply right now).

Next time I will make the church door "stained glass" too.

I really think sheet music is appropriate for the dove and church.
