will you be mine?

Ever since Christmas season has passed I have turned my energy to Valentine's Day. I have not decorated for Valentine's Day yet but I am crafting up a flurry of hearts. Midwest winter is relentless and I have to keep my mind and fingers busy.

I am officially starting my running routine tomorrow. I haven't done any physical exercise since early December. So, tomorrow is the day snow or shine!

You can find these sweet cupcake cottages in my shop.

I have tomorrow off for Martin Luther King Day...no pay..but will be enjoying the day shopping with my sister nonetheless. Photo Courtesy of Things That Make me Like America.

What an impact this speech has had for civil rights.

Enjoy your week, Sweets!

Peeking In

Kane observing nature through the patio door and feeling the warmth of the furnace.
This is his morning spot.

A surprise package from Mary. She makes the best vintage beaded ornaments. Love it. Last year she made me gorgeous pink beaded ornaments.

Some pink love birds ready for Valentine's Day listing in my shop.
Yes, I will wait until after Christmas to list them!

Now to the recently cleaned up and half way organized craft studio! LOL since I have taken these pictures I have already changed some things up. I'll post them again another day. I found 3 baby planters from the 80's and am using them for storage.

My sister bought this Album at the local church thrift shop for me. She loves me!

Greenbeanbaby purchase from a year or so ago is the framed picture of her cut paper piecing.

Flossie the framed picture in the upper right hand corner was purchased from Jenny at EverydayisaHoliday last year. Love, Love, Love! My inspiration board is getting full!

Not the best picture with the sun streaming in but you can see all my glass containers. They are filled with beautiful beads, flowers, and other goodies!

The 'messiest' storage in the room. I keep all of my chipboard in these roll out bins. The sewing machine is in the bottom bin. That hasn't gotten a lot of use. I prefer to work with paper, yarn, glitter, and glue.
Some yarn, some felt, and hiding some rolls of corrugated cardboard beside the cabinet.

Pretty pinks and reds displayed above the cabinet.

A cupcake plaque purchased from etsy.

The cabinet doors opened to expose the supplies inside: ribbons, threads, vintage trims, crepe paper, tulle, and a tin full of embroidery threads.

Up close with the pretties in the glass jars!

More prettiness.

The other album my sis purchased for me from the church thrift store. She really, really does love me! Honest.
Some projects yet to be started or finished: A wicked Halloween picture, garland, Christmas yarn ball wreath, a vintage magazine holder.

I cannot wait to see the finished project from these yarn balls. I might add some pink pom poms.

Aqua, Red, and White LOVE! Where's the pink?

I finished up the Christmas wrapping of the gifts tonight.
Need to double check my lists and see if more gifts are needed..Crossing fingers that I am done.

Snow and/or ice tonight.
Be safe and warm.

Snow Happy

Sweet Sugar Cookies...these have to be my favorite pom poms so far.

Yes, that is a fake sugar cookie around this sweet bird's neck and Blue peppermint chenille stems for legs.

Mint green and Pink glitter cottage and how cute is that mini pink tree? Ready or not Snow is going to fall soon.

Visit my shop.

Hold the phone...we are interrupting this regularly scheduled blog for some sweet baby time! A little visit yesterday with my great nephew, Caleb. It was a pleasure to cradle him in my arms until he fell asleep.

3 Peppermint Red Bluebirds are flying south for the winter.
Sweet things in life...

A little needed pumpkin time before the trip southward.

Some more poses with Mr. Pumpkin. They are going to miss him but the warmer weather sure is calling their names.

WARNING: If you are Elizabeth..you may not want to view this last photo as I know you are not fond of scary Halloween. Close your eyes now and scroll quickly ...

Dear hubby cut these last year for my daughter and her boyfriend. Didn't they do a great job?!!

Happy Halloween

Glittery Cuppie Cake Ornaments

Don't they just look yummy? I really like these. Small in stature but make a very pretty statement for your tree or use as a package topper! They are 2" x 2" . Hand cut by me from recycled chipboard and they are very light in weight...See no calories...well you would get some fiber anyway;) But seriously not intended for consuming. Please do not try that at home.

Cupcakes...Just my size!

LOL @ my title. Cupcakes any size are my size! I have decided to make miniature cupcakes. No two will be alike or the same size because I use my fingers as the measuring device for the pom poms. These are the prototypes so far.
