TAGGED

I have been tagged by Gail from http://littlebeachdesigns.blogspot.com/. Now I have to post 7 random things about myself and pick 7 bloggers to tag.

1. I have never flown on an airplane.
2. I "collect" blue colored field stones for my flower garden.
3. I have trouble committing to wall colors besides white.
4. I love to bake sweets.
5. Halloween is my favorite holiday.
6. I have walked 60 miles in the Susan G. Komen 3 day walk. (one of my proudest moments)
7. One of my pet peeves is: the way people drive in parking lots...like it's a free-for-all and the rules of the road are void!

These are the 7 people that I am tagging: Enjoy(~~)

Sunday Finds

Such a gorgeous Fall? day in Indiana. Honestly it is 80 degrees and that is not our usual weather, so I am considering it a bonus day. Made a quick trip to our local flea market and found these:

The 5 books were $2.00 and they are from the 1950's. The illustrations are the cutest. Three vintage ribbons for 1.00. The sweet baby carriage ornament was 10 cents. I think I am going to change the pillow and the ribbon to pink:) The glass thingy was 25 cents and has an aluminun stirrer. I have never seen anything like it before.

Happy Fall

Glittery Cuppie Cake Ornaments

Don't they just look yummy? I really like these. Small in stature but make a very pretty statement for your tree or use as a package topper! They are 2" x 2" . Hand cut by me from recycled chipboard and they are very light in weight...See no calories...well you would get some fiber anyway;) But seriously not intended for consuming. Please do not try that at home.

How bout a picnic basket?

How 'bout a picnic basket? I made this for my 3 year old niece....shhhh. She has not received it yet. Her birthday is in 2 weeks. I know if I was 3 I would just adore this as a gift. Heck I would adore it now:)

The works includes: bologna, fried egg, swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, 2 tomato slices, lettuce, and a smear of peanut and jelly!

Pop tarts are not technically for lunch, but they were fun to make.

I purchased the straw purse at the Dollar Tree last spring with this idea in mind. What a bargain!

And to top it all off ~ frosted cookies with sprinkles!

Something about Mary...
I am so thankful for flickr and the blog world especially since I have discovered so many nice people out there. Mary is one of those special ladies. She is very thoughtful and I consider her a friend even though we live states apart. I think we connected when we found out we had the same birthday!! Then we discovered we had some other things in common...weight, height, and looking young for our age(yes I am one year older than her). She spoils me with surprises in the snail mail. I get all giddy and smiley:D The other day I received one of those surprise packages and it had 2 unfinished cardboard houses in it. One is this cottage and the other is a church I will glitter up for Christmas. So this is for Mary...yes, I am sending it back to her and not because I dont like it . Seems odd, but now it is all glittery and pretty for her autumn decorations. I know how much her children really like her to decorate for the holidays. That is how friendship works(~~) No sneak peeks here! It will be on its way to Mary's house tomorrow. Thanks Mary!!! check out her flickr

Fall~around the Corner

Fall is just around the corner. The last 2 Halloween Cottages I am making. Mary http://journals.aol.com/mary866/snowflakes-on-eyelashes/ has already spoken for the purple one:D Thanks Mary!!!

This one is sugary sweet with candy corn pillars and crepe paper ruffles. Good choice Mary;)

My little niece, Maria turned 5 and her big sister and brother bought her 2 gerbils. Mom had no idea!!
Wonder who is going to get cage cleaning duty?

Running the wheel, Maria was so excited to see them finally figure it out.

OLd run of the mill child's birthday cake...of course its sponge bob and patrick. She seems quite please with it.

Lastly, but defintely not least. Made some brownie bites for a candle party I hosted saturday night. Also tried Pomegranate Margaritas. Those are worth buying again!!
