I cannot believe my daughter is 21!
It does not seem possible. The years have passed by so quickly. At her age I was pregnant with her. She has been the best daughter and I am so proud of her. She has achieved so much in her life so far and I cannot wait to see what is in store for her next. She will be graduating from college in December-finishing a semester early and still with straight A's in an Honor's Program. She starts an internship this week at a regional newspaper (actually their magazines). I hope this brings her closer to what she REALLY wishes to do in her career.
In honor of her 21st birthday we had a party for her. Instead of bar hopping she chose to share the day with her family and friends at home. That makes me even more proud of her and her life decisions. Even though she is a bright young woman, she still enjoys the simple things. She is totally in love with Pirates and Rubber Duckies..lol.
Her party was a little bit of a pirate theme, but we did not go "overboard" lol, pun intended
I am definitely not a baker/cake decorator but I did my best to make her a pirate cake. The rubber duckies are hers!
Purchased a pattern for these cupcakes from http://www.umecrafts.etsy.com/. With permission granted to sell these, I have begun new projects. CUPCAKES!!!!! I hope to play and put my own little twist on these yummy cupcakes. These have been sitting around for a month or so and I am finally getting around to posting them. The best thing about them is they do not get stale or add calories!

Happy belated bday to your daughter! What a fun party!! Love the cupcakes! xo Britt :-)
No bar hopping??? Good for her! I love that pirate cake, how clever. Love the little rubber duckie with the bandana on his head. HA. The cupcakes are very cool. Are they pincushions?

They most definitely could be used as pincushions, Suzanne!
