oh my stars

Custom order finished in record time. I am so proud when I don't procrastinate. I've been seeing stars all day...in a good way!

Just have to mention that Black Friday is not for me. From now on I will order online any door buster sales that I can with hot coffee in my hand and blanket for warmth. For the most part people were okay..but some rude ones just seem to stick in your mind.

Cannot believe Christmas is upon us again..it always sneaks up on me!

Secret project I cannot reveal as I am making 25 of them. Don't want to ruin the surprise for any of the possible recipients! Money is very tight this year and I always enjoy hand-making gifts but this year it is a necessity. Nonetheless they will be gorgeous!

Night out with friends from high school...Everyone have a safe weekend.

Lumpy Potatoes Give Thanks

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Now for the lighter side:
May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
...And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!

Candy Cane Ruffled Garland

Happy Saturday. It is a windy cool day in Hoosierville. It makes me just want to stay in all day, craft, and sip hot coffee.

A good way to use up some vintage craft ribbon I had laying around with no idea what I was going to use it for. Gathered up and all ruffly for you to hang on whatever you desire on it.

3 are in my shop..one with round buttons, one with rectangle buttons, and the last one with oval buttons. The buttons are where you want to hang your decorations on for your very personalized garland.

Almost forgot:
And a green one made for good measure for those traditional Christmas ornaments.

Hope you are nice and toasty today,

Sugary Sweet Overload

Short but very sweet post:

See Santa? He's watching you!

Peppermint Lollipop Tree

Cotton Candy Chimney Smoke

Peppermint, gumdrop, lollipop, candy cane, cotton candy, lemon drop..oh my!
My teeth hurt just looking at it all. These 2 can be found in my shop.

Can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving? I've been trying to keep up with my running, crafting, working, and now Christmas is on my mind. How about you? Do you feel the pinch?
Like it's closing in..so much I want to do...and know it will not all be possible. Enjoy the season.

Happy it's almost Friday!

Glitter Cupcakes in the shop

New cupcake ornaments just added to my shop. I love this pink glitter..it looks like fine shredded pink coconut.

A set of green striped and polka dotted cupcakes with pink cherry hearts on top. These are made from up-cycled chipboard. Green Baker's Twine is used for the hanger.

A set of two blue glittery cupcakes with a pink cherry heart on top!

A great sale on my Halloween ornaments here and here.

More to come to my shop this week...sneak preview right here:

Remember my garland ? I followed Creative Breathing's garland-a-long instructions but added my own twist on the hanging base. I have made a few of these to add to my etsy shop. They will be a blank canvas for you to add your own handmade or purchased creations. The items will hang from the buttons and the ribbons and you can even loop them over the garland base.

These goodies and more~ Stay tuned.

Hope your week is SWEET!

Snow Happy

Sweet Sugar Cookies...these have to be my favorite pom poms so far.

Yes, that is a fake sugar cookie around this sweet bird's neck and Blue peppermint chenille stems for legs.

Mint green and Pink glitter cottage and how cute is that mini pink tree? Ready or not Snow is going to fall soon.

Visit my shop.

Hold the phone...we are interrupting this regularly scheduled blog for some sweet baby time! A little visit yesterday with my great nephew, Caleb. It was a pleasure to cradle him in my arms until he fell asleep.

3 Peppermint Red Bluebirds are flying south for the winter.
Sweet things in life...

A little needed pumpkin time before the trip southward.

Some more poses with Mr. Pumpkin. They are going to miss him but the warmer weather sure is calling their names.

WARNING: If you are Elizabeth..you may not want to view this last photo as I know you are not fond of scary Halloween. Close your eyes now and scroll quickly ...

Dear hubby cut these last year for my daughter and her boyfriend. Didn't they do a great job?!!

Happy Halloween
